17 more scale Mount Everest on Sunday KATHMANDU: As many as 17 climbers scaled the highest peak of the world, Mount Everest (8848 m), on Sunday. With this, the number of Everest conquerors this year reached 62. An official deployed by the Department of Tourism at the Everest Base Camp, Gyanendra Shrestha, said 10 Nepalis and seven foreigners climbed up the Everest today, the fifth day since the climbing began for this season. Earlier, on Saturday,three persons had stepped ontothe top of the world.
