17-year-old from Britain all set to climb Mt Everest Dmitry Tertychhy, 17, an A-level student at Charterhouse School, Britain, is all set to climb Mt Everest with the motive of supporting improvised children of Nepal. Tertychhy has already climbed six mountains, Aconcagua in South America (6,961m), Denali in North America (6,190m), Kilimanajaro in Africa (5,895m), Elbrus in Europe (5,642m), Vinson Massif in Antarctica (4,892m) and Carstensz Pyramid in Australia (4,884m). I am yet to climb Mt Everest, the highest peak of the world and I am going to climb it,” said Tertychhy. Speaking with The Himalayan Times, he said, “I am inspired by my father and my teacher to embark on one of the toughest expeditions. My school and friends are providing me support to accomplish my mission,” he said. He also said he would give the use of the remaining fund for the education of impoverished children in Nepal.
