At least 22 climbers from Seven Summit Treks today scaled Mt Everest, expedition organiser said. Chhang Dawa Sherpa, Expedition Director at SST informed that at least 10 foreign climbers and 12 Sherpas stood atop the world's highest peak this morning. "Despite a challenging weather forecast with a pocket weather window, SST team successfully reached the summit of Mt. Everest from the Nepal side (South Col route) this morning," Chhang Dawa shared. The team consisted of a large group of Chinese climbers and one Japanese climber, along with their Sherpa guides, according to Sherpa. Hideki Nakazono from Japan, Jing Zhang, Junyi Luo, Xiaoyang Wang, Xudong Sun, Jianghau Rao, Zheng Yu, Yiling Ke, Zhiwei Xue and Zheng Ye from China scaled Everest. Pas Dukpa Sherpa, Pema Gyalgen Sherpa, Pemba Thinduk Sherpa, Phursang Sherpa, Dawa Rinje Sherpa, Pastenji Sherpa, Dawa Nurbu Sherpa, Tasi Sherpa, Mingma Nurbu Sherpa, Karma Gyalje Sherpa, Rinje Sherpa, and Lakpa Renjin Sherpa from Makalu also made it to the summit point guiding the international team, Chhang Dawa said. Other climbers under Seven Summit Treks are currently at higher camps, acclimatized, and ready for their summit push, awaiting favorable weather conditions. "This year, Seven Summit Treks has a team of 103 climbers on Everest, accompanied by an equal number of Sherpa guides," Chhang Dawa shared.
