KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 18 The 21st annual general meeting of Airline Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN), an umbrella organisation of private airline companies, has reappointed Captain Rameshwor Thapa as its chairman. Third convention of US Nepal Climbers Association held, selects new working committee Helicopter carrying Indian defence chief crashes Captain Thapa who has been operating helicopter services for two decades, was selected for the position uncontested at the AGM held in the capital on Friday. He started as a helicopter trainee pilot in 2002 AD and currently operates Simrik Air. Under his leadership, he has also created a 13-member working committee that will serve for two years. Anoj Rimal from Yeti Airlines, Gopal Bhattarai from Saurya Airlines, Nima Niru Sherpa from Altitude Air as the vice-chairs; Manoj Karki from Summit Air is the secretary general and Raju Neupane from Manang Air is the secretary in the new committee . Similarly, Rupesh Joshi from Buddha Air has been appointed the treasurer. Other members of the committee are Furu Gyalje Sherpa from Heli Everest, Subash Amatya from Prabhu Helicopter, Anil Manandhar from Shree Airlines, Prajwal Thapa from Guna Airlines, Shree Hari Kuikel from Kailash Helicopter and Balkrishna Pandit from Air Dynasty.
