Altitude sickness claims Australian national SOLUKHUMBU:An Australian national succumbed to altitude sickness on Monday at Khumbu Pasang Lhyamu Rural Municipality-4 in Solukhumbu district. The 70-year-old Australian died of high altitude sickness while returning from the Mt Everest Base Camp, according to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Solukhumbu Shaligram Sharma. The police said that he died while efforts were underway to rush him for treatment. His body has been taken to Kathmandu for a postmortem after completing the legal procedures.
