An afternoon with poets An interaction progra-mme with poet Yuyutshu RD Sharma, who has returned from his Europe tour, was organised by Daulat Bikram Bista Memorial Foundation on April 20. Sharma was on a visit to Europe for the promotion of a book www.Way to Everest. The programme, which was held to discuss the promotion of Nepali Literature in foreign countries, was organised at the Everest Book Shop. Mohan Sitaula, President of International Nepal Literature Society was also present at the function. Sharma shared the experience of his Europe tour and answered queries from the people present at the event. The queries were mostly related to the situation of Nepali literature in Europe. While addressing the queries, Sharma mentioned the most common reaction of the European people was ‘ poet from Himalayas’. He also recited poems he had written during this tour. After his recitation Sitaula said that with his poems Sharma creates pictures with his words. While taking about the places he had visited Sharma said, “Of all the places I visited, it was in Ireland that I missed my country a lot. That place reminded me of Nepal the most.” Other Nepali poets also recited their poems at the function.
