Bal Gitanjali, Bhanubhakta triumph Lalitpur, November 16 Bal Gitanjali School of Kathmandu registered a 1-0 victory over Sainik Aawashiya Mahavidyalaya of Kailali in the final-round match of the Coca-Cola Inter-school Boys Football Tournament here at the ANFA Complex grounds today. Mikhail Rai scored the solitary goal of the match in the 23rd minute. In another match, Bhanubhakta Memorial School of Morang beat Orchid Academy of Nuwakot 2-1. Anjal Bhandari scored a brace for Bhanubhakta, while Kushal Lama replied one for Orchid. Bhandari put Bhanubhakta ahead in the 37th minute before Lama levelled the scores in the 48th minute. Bhandari then scored his second goal of the match in the 69th minute and sealed the victory. The match between Mid-Western Police School of Dang and Shree Chandra Jyoti School of Jhapa ended in a 1-1 draw. Ramesh Tamang put Mid-Western Police ahead in the eighth minute before Uttam Prasai scored the equaliser for Shree Chandra in the 24th minute. Everest Secondary Academy of Sarlahi earned a walkover (3-0) victory from Janajyoti Secondary School of Rupandehi.
