Bernhardt beat CAB by seven wickets and Everest College defeated Global College by 50 runs to enter the quarter-finals of the FW Taylor Inter-college Cricket Tournament today.
Batting first, CAB were bowled out for 59 runs in 17 overs. Manish Magranti took 5-12 for Bernhardt, who overcame the target losing three wickets in 15 overs. Rabin Joshi top-scored with unbeaten 23 off 37 balls and Man of the match Magranti remained unbeaten on six. Nilesh Karki took 2-13 for CAB.
In the other match, Everest College scored 138/9 in 25 overs riding on Arjun Khadka’s 40 off 28 balls. Utsav Dewan scored 30. Suraj Acharya took 3-16 for Global. In reply, Global College could muster just 88 runs losing eight wickets. For Everest, Ashish Gharti took 4-16 and earned the man of the match award. In Tuesday’s quarter-finals, it’s: FW Taylor vs Prime and White House vs Nightingale.
