Discovery to air Everest ascent Discovery Channel today started broadcasting scenes of the ascent of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, from the base camp to the summit. “The Channel, according to ‘Everest: Beyond the Limit Serial’, is going to broadcast scenes of Everest ascent every Sunday and Monday at 9 am,” said marketing and communications assistant director of the channel Rajiv Bakshi. “We visualised the scenes by applying hi-tech and video technology,” Rajiv said, adding: “We installed cameras on the hats of the summiteers.” The channel today broadcast a video that was visualised in April/May, 2006. In it, 11 members of a New Zealand team were shown scaling Mount Everest.
