Discovery Channel today started broadcasting scenes of the ascent of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, from the base camp to the summit.
“The Channel, according to ‘Everest: Beyond the Limit Serial’, is going to broadcast scenes of Everest ascent every Sunday and Monday at 9 am,” said marketing and communications assistant director of the channel Rajiv Bakshi. “We visualised the scenes by applying hi-tech and video technology,” Rajiv said, adding: “We installed cameras on the hats of the summiteers.” The channel today broadcast a video that was visualised in April/May, 2006. In it, 11 members of a New Zealand team were shown scaling Mount Everest.
