Actress, dancer, and mountaineer Kabita Nepali has released a documentary film capturing her incredible journey to the summits of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse, both over 8,000 meters high.

Kabita achieved the rare feat of scaling Lhotse within 24 hours of summiting Everest in the first week of May, showcasing remarkable physical endurance and mental resilience. The project was filmed by adventure photo-videographer Bidhan Shrestha, documenting her ascent from Kathmandu to the Himalayan peaks and back.

Encouraged by her fans to turn her experience into a film, Kabita has now shared her one-hour-long documentary, presented in a personal, conversational style.

“This film is my journey to the two highest mountains in the world within 24 hours — a story of endurance, reflection, and growth,” she wrote while sharing the release. “It shows what the climb taught me, the hardships I faced, the challenges I overcame, and the lessons that changed my outlook on life.”

Kabita added, “I hope this journey inspires you to face your own challenges — the ones that push you forward, shape you, and make you stronger than before.”

Professionally, Kabita is also preparing for the release of her upcoming film Eklo, set to premiere on January 1, 2026 (Poush 17). She continues to inspire others as a judge on the popular TV show Himalaya Roadies.
