Organized by the US Nepal Climbers Association Inc. (USNCA), the tournament was dedicated to the memory of legendary mountaineer Babu Chhiri Sherpa, renowned for summiting Mt. Everest ten times and holding the world record for spending 21 hours on the summit without supplemental oxygen - a feat yet to be surpassed.
Tokpe Gola Sports and Garma Sherwi Chhokpa secured the second and third positions, respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, USNCA stated that the event aimed to honor Babu Chhiri's legacy of courage and perseverance while promoting unity, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the Nepali diaspora.
At least eight teams - including Dokpya Sports, Garma Sherwi Tsokpa, USNCA, Sindhu, Tokpe Gola Sports, Dolakha (A), Dolakha (B), and GTKT - participated in the competition.
The event saw the presence of Ang Futi Sherpa, wife of late Babu Chhiri Sherpa, who attended as the chief guest.
