Dolakha has most siblings to climb Mt Everest KATHMANDU:Four siblings from a remote valley in Dolakha district stood atop the world’s highest peak together in the spring climbing season, according to a government official. Gyanendra Shrestha, a liaison officer at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation said that three Sherpa brothers along with their sister scaled Mt Everest becoming the most siblings to reach the summit point of Mt Everest together in a season. “Pemba Dorjee Sherpa, Phurba Tenjing Sherpa, Phurba Thiley Sherpa and Dawa Diki Sherpa from Rolwaling Valley stood atop Mt Everest on May 23,” Shrestha confirmed. Besides, the family of Thering Norbu Sherpa and Kinjum Sherpa also set a record of most siblings in the world to scale Mt Everest. From the Sherpa family, Pemba Gyalzen, Late Phurba Thundu, Pemba Dorjee, Nima Gyalzen, Phurba Tenzing, Phurba Thiley and Dawa Diki have scled Mt Everest, according to Shrestha.
