With a view to reach out to more individuals and offer home loans, Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) is participating in the 2nd Nepal Exterior-Interior Expo-2005, being held from March 16th to 20th at Birendra International Convention Centre in Kathmandu.
During the exhibition period, the bank is providing a special offer rate with 50 per cent reduction in the processing charge and 0.5 per cent reduction in the interest rate for those borrowers who visit the stall and apply for loan from any of the bank’s branches within 30th April 2005.
Recognising the value of offering a complete range of services not only to the corporate but also to individuals, EBL introduced home loans in 2001, being the first bank in Nepal to provide such loans to individuals, says a press release. The maximum period of repayment of home loan is 20 years. The bank has also tied up with Civil Homes and Greenwood Villas for providing EBL home loans to customers. In an attempt to provide more incentives to its home loan borrowers, the bank has also made an arrangement to provide discounts at various reputed home makers, interior designers, pipe fittings and sanitary ware, dealers of paints and services, suppliers of timber, wholesaler of cement and iron products, iron and steel trading company. “We have been a pioneer in introducing consumer lending schemes such as home loan, education loan, car loan, flexi loan and many others, catering to the requirements of the individuals, thus enriching their world and fulfilling their dreams” said DVSSV Prasad, executive director, EBL.
