EBL posts Rs 376.91m operating profit Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) has registered a growth of 19.14 per cent in its operating profit for the fiscal year 2004-05, in comparison to the last fiscal year. Based on the un-audited accounts, the bank’s posted Rs 376.91 million operating profit. The bank’s credit also recorded a growth of 29.60 per cent or Rs 7900.09 million, states a press release issued here today by EBL. The total deposits of the bank has increased by 25.22 per cent to touch Rs 10097.69 million during the period. The sustained growth of the bank is attributed to its strong systems and procedures, professional approach, quality lending and highly motivated staff members, further states the release. The bank provides a wide range of banking services through 16 branches and over more than 250 reputed correspondent banks across the globe. All the major branches are interconnected through Any Branch Banking Systems (ABBS), which enables customers to do banking transactions from any of these branches irrespective of their having accounts in the other branch. The EBL Debit Card can be accessed through 28 ATM centres associated with Smart Choice Technology (SCT) network and around 150 point of sales (PoS).
