Everest Bank brings new scheme Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) celebrated the success of Chabahil branch opening campaign in the capital today, states a press release issued here by the bank. “Khata Hajarma Chutti Bangkok Ma” scheme was introduced with an objective of providing more services to the customers within the vicinity and promoting savings and developing banking habits among the individuals. The Chabahil branch was opened on September 25. “The bank has 18 branches, the largest network among the private banks in the country,” states the release. During the short period of the campaign, around 5000 customers opened new accounts. “We are pleased to note the overwhelming response and this response will further reinforce our commitment to extend our services in many other regions of Nepal, D V S S V Prasad, executive director of Everest Bank was quoted as saying in the press release. To promote the offer, the opening balance was reduced to Rs 1000, free ATM card was distributed and a scheme of a 4-day package tour for a couple to Bangkok was offered.
