Everest Med receives ISO 9001:2000 Himalayan News Service Kathmandu, February 21: Everest Med Pvt Ltd (EMPL) has become the first and only manufacturer of Sterile Hypodermic Disposable Syringes in Nepal to get ISO 9001:2000 certificate for its quality management system. According to a press statement issued by the company, EMPL started its commercial production from the month of September 2004 under the brand name ‘lifeline’. At present 3 ml, 5 ml, 10 ml syringes are available in the market but very soon the company will also launch 1ml syringes for injecting insulin, said the statement. Equipped with latest automatic machines and experienced, qualified staff, well-developed in-house lab facility, the company aims to fulfil the need for quality sterile hypodermic disposable syringes in Nepal, says the statement. At present, syringes of EMPL are being recommended, appreciated and used by major hospitals, nursing, homes, laboratories, wholesalers and retailers all over the country.
