The hall was exotically decorated with the stalls of different cuisines were placed all around. Charpais (Indian-style knitted beds) had been placed in the corners with hookas to be enjoyed beside the charpais. With people mingling and excited children running around participating in different games, it was clear that this was basically a family affair at the ‘Fun Food Fair 2007’ at Hotel Everest. The evening of August 31 saw families and friends coming to enjoy an evening together with great music and food. From starter to desert, different cuisines were being prepared right before one’s eyes, the wafting aroma of food and flowing drinks made the evening even more interesting. The dancers from India and Nepal were successful in entertaining the guests with their performances to Nepali and Hindi movie songs. But most interesting part of the event turned out to be the dance competition for the couples. The crowd was pleasantly surprised to see a number of couples of different age groups ready to jiggle to the music. Emcee Mahima was successful in keeping the guests on their toes with different games and her talks. The party went on till 1:00 am with DJ Zahangir turning up the heat with his collection of Bollywood mixes.
