Family wants daughter back from Everest Himalayan News Service Family members of a girl from Punjab’s Muktsar town are relieved that she has finally decided to return from her mission to climb Mt Everest and have denied they forced her to summit the world’s tallest peak. The climber Sukhwinder Kaur aka Sukhi’s family members got news last evening that she had decided to come down from her camp at 7,000 metres. The family denied that they had forced Sukhi not to return without conquering the 8,848 metre peak. Her father, Jagat Singh, said he wished she had succeeded in her attempt but wanted Sukhi back alive now. An e-mail from Jamie McGuiness, leader of one of the Everest expeditions this summer, had informed the family on Wednesday that Sukhi was refusing to return from her camp after being stuck there for over three days. “We are very relieved with the latest news.
