Philipp who reached Camp IV late in the night died, Bhandari informed. Other members of the team were on the way to summit this morning, he added. The cause of his death is still unknown. Efforts were underway to bring his body to the base camp, Bhandari informed. This is the season's first death of foreign climbers on Mt Everest, according to the Department of Tourism. Earlier, two Sherpa support staff, who were taken ill at the Everest base camp, died at HAMS Hospital after they were brought for treatment.
