German national missing for a week Kathmandu, October 21: Sabine Grueneklee, 31, a resident of Munich in Germany, has been missing for over a week from the Kathmandu area. According the Kathmandu District Police Office, the German embassy registered an FIR report about the incident at the police office yesterday. According to an e-mail sent by Peter, who mentioned only his first name, she was meant to commence a trek with him yesterday to the Everest Base Camp. He said her family and friends have not heard from her for a week. She was also meant to see him at the airport on Tuesday night, but did not show up. According to Peter, she stayed in Hotel Horizon from October 7-13 and checked out on October 14 to move to a guest house. “Her last e-mail to anyone from what I can gather was to myself on October 14 whereby she said she would see me on Tuesday,” Peter’s e-mail reads. Peter added that no one has heard from her since then and her last bank transaction was also on that date. Grueneklee is the second foreigner to go missing in two months in Kathmandu. The police are searching for Celine Henry, 34, who has been missing since September 3.
