Get ready for Aussie edu expo On the occasion of its 15th anniversary, Kathmandu Alfa Beta Institute is organising the Grand Australian Education Exhibition on March 13 and 14 at the Alfa Beta Complex, New Baneshwor, which will be inaugurated by Pradeep Nepal, Minister of Education and Sports. Says Udeep Khadka, Senior Business Development Officer, Alfa Beta Institute, “We have colleges we have been involved with previously and some new ones too. All the colleges are reputed ones in Australia. Students will have a chance to interact with representatives from most of the participating colleges.” He adds that Australian colleges are more affordable than colleges in the US and the UK and the quality of education is similar. That is why a lot of students are opting for Australian colleges these days, he says. The institutes that will be participating in the exhibition are Australian Catholic University, University of Wollongong, Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE, Nova Institute of Technology, Sydney Business and Travel Academy, Central College, Kranz International College, Southern Cross College of Vocational Education, TAFE Tasmania. Interested students can get information regarding various fields of study in Science, Commerce and Humanities for different levels like Under Graduate, Graduate and Post Graduate studies. Seminars for all colleges will also be held where students will have a chance to receive detailed information about the colleges along with brochures. And some of the colleges will also be providing On-the-spot admissions. “The other advantage that students have is that if they opt to do the processing from our institute, they will get to do IELTS courses free of charge,” The event is supported by AIMS-Nepal, Australia Education Pvt Ltd, Himalayan White House International College, The Everest Hotel, The Himalayan Times, Annapurna Post, Naya Patrika, Nepal Samacharpatra and Direction Exhibition and Convention Centre. Entry ticket is priced at Rs 15 each.
