A climber from Hong Kong has claimed that she climbed Mt Everest in less than 26 hours, setting the world record to become the fastest woman climber on the world's highest peak. She reached the summit point in 25 hours 50 minutes, Shrestha who recorded her climbing time said. With this, she has broken the world record for speed climbing by a woman, Phurba Tenzing Sherpa, Managing Director at Dreamers Destination Treks, and Expedition Pvt. Ltd claimed. Earlier, Phunjo Jhangmu Lama, a Nepali climber, had kept the record after completing the climb in 39 hours 6 minutes in 2018, according to Shrestha. Yin Hung was guided by Phurba Tenjing Sherpa (Team Leader), Pemba Dorjee Sherpa (Sardar), Phurba Thiley Sherpa (Main summit guide), Mingma Nuru Sherpa, Padam Tamang, and Nima Gyalzen Sherpa, Shrestha added. Earlier, she made her first ascent on Mt Everest on 21 May 2017.
