According to Chhang Dawa Sherpa, Expedition Director at Seven Summit Treks, India's Army Adventure Wing (AAW) – Indian Army Silver Jubilee Everest Expedition team – led by Lt. Col. Manoj Joshi stood atop Mt Everest this morning.
"The expedition was led by Lt. Col. Joshi, with the legendary Kami Rita Sherpa serving as the main Sirdar (Lead Guide) for the team," he informed.
Team members including Lt. Col. Bhanoo Pathak, Mahak Mehta, Anirudh Yadav, Krishna Bahadur Kuwar, Tashi Stanba, Indra Singh Adhikari, Sunil Singh, Arjun Thapa Magar, Shankar Nath Goswami, Sunil Budhalakoti, Kundan Singh, Tundup Namgail, Raghuveer Singh, Urgain Padma, Deepak Singh, Rigzen Nurboo, Tsewang Motup, Balwant Singh, Bhuvan Ale Magar, Pradeep Singh, Dharmendra Singh and Kiran Bahadur Kuwar successfully climbed Mt Everest.
"The team's successful ascent is a significant achievement, highlighting their dedication, perseverance, and teamwork," Chhang Dawa said over phone from the base camp.
Similarly, four foreign clients along with six Sherpa guides from a different SST team also scaled Everest this morning. "Rysgul Akimzhanova, Piotr Czeslaw Burczynski, Oleg Ivanchenko, Kristina Bulgakova, Ridar Lama Bhote, Dorchi Sherpa, Dharche Bhote, Jyamjo Lama, Ngima Ongda Sherpa and Phurba Nurbu Sherpa from SST reached the summit point," Chhang Dawa informed.
