"The duo stood atop Mt Everest today at around 10:50am," Paudel informed. According to Paudel, this extraordinary ascent marks the third and final peak in their ambitious Triple Crown mission. Prior to Everest, the team had successfully summited both Nuptse and Lhotse, achieving a rare and demanding mountaineering feat within a single season. Jay and Dawa began their historic journey by climbing Nuptse on May 12, Paudel said, adding that they scaled Lhotse on May 20. "Under the HG Everest Expedition 2025, organized by Himalayan Guides Nepal, they successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters)," Paudel said. According to records, Dawa Tenji climbed three mountains in a single season in 2023, 2024 and this spring. Himalayan Guides Nepal congratulated Jay Whiting and Dawa Tenji Sherpa for their remarkable achievement. "Their courage, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to high-altitude excellence stand as an inspiration to climbers worldwide," Paudel commented. This journey, which Jay named Project:3, is not only about pushing his limits to achieve something extraordinary but also about creating a lasting impact by supporting LandAid, the property industry's charity dedicated to ending youth homelessness in the UK. Legendary British climber Kenton Cool is the first person to complete the 'Everest Triple Crown' in 2013 along with his longtime climbing partner Dorje Gylgen Sherpa from the Himalayan Guides.
