JYC hold TAC; Mahabir, KC tie Himalayan News Service Mahabir Club and Kathmandu Club played a 1-1 draw while Tribhuvan Army Club and Jawalakhel Youth Club played a goalless draw in the day’s matches of the Martyrs’ Memorial Everest ‘A’ Division League football tournament here at Dasharath Stadium today. Mahabir took the lead through Krishna Gurung when he easily converted a 25-yard shot in the 31st minute. For Kathmandu Club, Rajesh Shrestha, on Rubesh Dhaubanjar’s cross scored an equaliser in the 67th minute. In the second match, TAC skipper Janmat Karki missed a chance to score in the 20th minute as his attempt went wide off the mark. In the 61st minute, Bikash Subba of JYC was close to scoring but his close-range attempt was tactfully deflected by TAC’s Shiva Chaudhari from the goalline. Earlier, in the 2nd minute, Gokarna Adhikary of KC failed to score as the ball rebounded off the post.
