A British climber today scaled the world's highest mountain for the 16th time becoming the first foreign climber to make the most Mt Everest summits. Kenton along with fellow guide Dorji Gyalzen Sherpa reached the summit point at around 5:25am, he said. Kenton has become the first foreign climber to climb Mt Everest 16 times. American climber Dave Hahn has climbed Mt Everest 15 times. Kenton also holds a record of the first British mountaineer who climbed Mt Nuptse, Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse in a season in 2013. Last year, Kenton had made it to the top of Mt Lhotse in less than 29 hours after scaling the world's highest peak. Meanwhile, Rebecca Louise Smith from the UK and Elia Saikaly from Canada also scaled Mt Everest this morning, according to Poudel. "Chheten Dorjee Sherpa, Chowang Dorjee Sherpa, Kami Rita Sherpa, Dawa Jangbu Sherpa and Pasang Kaji Sherpa also stood atop Mt Everest today," he added. Phillip James De-Bergor (UK), Luke Josef Rollnik (Australia), Patrick Connor (Australia), Jeffery Andrew Leech (Australia) along with Lakpa Bhote, Tenjing Bhote, Chebi Bhote and Dawa Gylgen Sherpa from Himalayan guides scaled Mt Everest on Saturday, Poudel shared.
