A renowned British climber on Wednesday scaled the world's highest mountain for the 17th time breaking his own record for the most Mt Everest summits by any foreign climber. Phil Crampton scales Everest 10 times Canadian trader Andrew Aziz scales Everest According to Iswari Poudel, Managing Director at Himalayan Guides Nepal Pvt Ltd, Kenton Cool from Gloucestershire, South West England, also broke his own British record for the most summits of the world's highest peak. Kenton along with Dorji Gyaljen Sherpa and Siddhi Tamang reached the summit point at around 6:05am, Poudel said. Kenton has also helped Executive Chairman of Iceland Foods Richard Walker to stand atop Mt Everest. Richard has scaled Everest on behalf of the Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation (IFCF), in a bid to raise over £1 million to support people living with rare dementias. Dorji Gyaljen made it to the top of Everest for 21 times while Siddhi marked his 9th ascent this season. According to Poudel, Kenton also holds a record of the first British mountaineer who climbed Mt Nuptse, Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse in a season in 2013. Kenton had made it to the top of Mt Lhotse in less than 29 hours after scaling the world's highest peak in 2021.
