KATHMANDU: A Korean team is all set to clean up Mt Everest during April/May this year and bring back the garbage. Han Wang-Yong, world’s 11th summiteer to scale all the 14 highest peaks in the world, will lead the expedition as part of his campaign to clean up the 14 peaks. He urged Nepali authorities to waive climbing royalty and assist in his noble mission. The team comprising six Korean mountaineers and 25 Sherpas will attempt the clean-up expedition from Everest Base Camp to South Col around April-May for a period of 51 days, said Yong. — HNS
