Ngima Dendi Sherpa, Managing Director at Happy Feet Mountaineers said that Arineta Mula from Kosovo summitted the peak in eight days. “Arineta left for Lukla in the Mt Everest region on November 3 to begin climbing while she along with Nima Tenjee Sherpa ascended the peak on November 11,” he said, adding that she was now at the base camp. According to the Department of Tourism, Arinita had scaled Mt Everest in the last spring season being one of the members of Happy Feet Everest Expedition led by Austrian climber Hannes Groebner on May 22. Ang Jangbu Sherpa, Managing Director at Beyul Adventure informed that at least 11 climbers including Adam Clark, Chewwang Lindu, Ang Karma Sherpa, Tracee Metcalfe, Phunuru Sherpa, Austin Shannon, David Weirich and Harry Hamlin from the International Mountain Guides also climbed the mountain last week. At least six climbers including three foreigners scaled the peak last week as they were part of an expedition run by Seven Summit Treks, Nivesh Karki, Manager at the company said. The data maintained by the DoT shows that over 150 mountaineers obtained permit to climb Mt Ama Dablam in the autumn season. “Summit bids are still underway in the mountain,” a DoT official said.
