Thaneswar Guragai, General Manager at Seven Summit Treks, said that record holding climber Kristin Harila along with Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa and Gelu Sherpa from SST stood atop Mt Everest at around 3:15 am. "After returning from Everest, the duo scaled Lhotse at 11:15am," he said.
With this climb, Kristin beats her own 2022 speed record of climbing Everest and Lhotse in 8.5 hours and sets a new record of approximately 8 hours, he informed.
Earlier, she climbed Kanchenjunga on May 18. She started her project by climbing Mt Shishapangma on April 26. Then, she scaled Mt Cho Oyu in Tibet. On May 15, she scaled Mt Makalu. Kristin, who holds multiple fastest climbing records, has already become the first woman climber to make the fastest ascent of 14 peaks above 8,000m in just one year and five days, Seven Summit Treks said.
