Malaysian Everest summiteers feted Himalayan News Service Nepal-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NMCCI) and Malaysian embassy in Kathmandu yesterday hosted a reception in honour of two Malaysian Everest summiteers. Chandra Dhakal, president of NMCCI and Wan Jafer, charge de’ affaires at the Malaysian embassy welcomed Muqharabbin Bin Mokhtarrudin and Ahmed Reduan Rozali, both 22-year-old students from Mara University of Technology, Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian students, along with three Nepali Sherpa guides, successfully reached the summit of the world’s tallest peak on May 16. NMCCI president Dhakal praised the successful ascent by the Malaysian students. “With this successful ascent, Nepal’s tourism is expected to get boost,” he said.
