Butwal's Mani Mukunda Volleyball Club won the title of the first Rising Star Open Men's and Women's Volleyball Tournament organised in Shivaraj Municipality-5 of Kapilvastu, on Wednesday.

In the final match held today, Mani Mukunda recorded a 21-25, 25-20, 25-13, 13-25, 15-10 victory over Galkot Volleyball Club, Baglung to bag the men's title.
Meanwhile, in the women's final, Everest Boarding School defeated the Laffa Club --both in Butwal-- in a straight-set of 25-13, 25-14, 25-19.
The tournament that was organised by the Rising Star youth Club was held from 1-6 Ashoj, in Chandrauta.
Winners (Men) Mani Mukunda received Rs 101,000 while the runner-up Galkot got Rs 71,000. The organiser Rising Youth Club received the third prize of Rs 41,000.
Likewise, the winners (women) Everest received the purse of Rs 20,000 while runner-up Laffa received Rs 9,000.
Both the winner and runner-up of the men's category and winner of women's category are scheduled to participate in the 6th NVA National Men's and Women's Club Volleyball Championships to be held from 10 to 16 Ashoj, in Kathmandu.
