Medical services shut today The Nepal Medical Council has called a closure of all but emergency medical services on Wednesday to protest the incident in which some unruly persons vandalised Everest Nursing Homes and issued threats of life to senior surgeon Dr Subodh Kumar Adhikari following the death of a patient Narayan Shaha, who had died in the Bir Hospital on July 5. The NMC decided to close all medical services except emergency ones in all the private, government and teaching hospitals on July 9.
