KATHMANDU:As part of the ‘Ujyaalo Abhiyaan’ under ‘Go Green’ campaign, the ninth Annual Laxmi Cares Mountain Bike Rally was held on Saturday. With over 150 participants, this year’s cycling route was city centred covering a 12-km stretch within Kathmandu. The rally flagged off from Nepal Tourism Board and ended at Hotel Annapurna. The event ended with a fun fair styled setting with live concert by Nattu Shah and the SOS band, b-boying by Everest Crew, man versus food competitions and face painting, among other activities. This annual event is aimed at creating awareness and raising funds to assist Ujyaalo Abhiyaan project which aims to continue in its journey to light various sites in Nepal with historical, architectural and heritage values or any other charitable causes. Laxmi Cares is a registered NGO established and managed by staff of Laxmi Bank.
