This world is full of countries big and small. My country Nepal is a small, land-locked country. It is rich in natural resources and cultural heritage, and famed for bravery. It is said ‘Nepal is itself a world’ for it has full of diversity. It has highlands, lowlands, rivers, valleys and different cultures, traditions and customs. Nepal is a masterpiece of natural beauty. Mountains like Everest, Kanchanjunga, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri can easily touch everyone’s heart. Mt Everest is the highest mountain peak of the world and it lies in our country. Not only that, Nepal is the second richest country in water resources. The three main rivers of our country are Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali and their tributaries are extremely beautiful. Places such as Pokhara, Lumbini and Jomsom are famous in the international tourism arena. Though Nepal has different social, cultural and natural diversities, there is unity in the people. Though we are of different origin, cultures and societies, we have one common thing. We are brave, hospitable and patriotic. We are proud to say that we are Nepalis. I am proud to say, “Nepal is a fabulous and marvellous gift of nature.”
