Nepal Army's Bhim Gurung wins Everest Marathon KATHMANDU: Nepal Army’s Bhim Gurung won the 13th edition of the Tenzing-Hillary Everest Marathon on Monday. He finished the 42.195km race, which began from the Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5364m and ended at Namche Bazar (3446m), in 4 hours, one minute and 54 seconds. Likewise, Nepal's Surendra Basnet and Pasang Lama completed the distance in 4 hours 2 minutes and 18 seconds and 4 hours 11 minutes and 28 seconds respectively to finish second and third.
