KATHMANDU: Indian Air Force's wing commander Jai Kishan, tandem master Tom Noonan of the US and Wendy Smith of New Zealand on Wednesday set a new record in skydiving, jumping from a height of 21,000 feet into a plateau near Mt Everest. According to Suman Pandey, CEO, Explore Himalaya, which organised the event, three daredevils, who flew on Fishtail Air's AS 350 B3 chopper, set the new world record making successful landing at the Gorak Shep, Kala Patthar plateau. They reached 23,000 feet before dropping from 21,000 feet at right layer, Pandey said.
