According to Sherpa, this year on May 29th event will be celebrated as the Mount Everest Day in New York State Assembly Hall. Sherpa also handed over the USNCA flag to Tenzing Sherpa, grandson of legendary climber Ang Rita Sherpa (Snow Leopard) for his Everest expedition this season. Tenzing has announced to follow the footsteps of his grandfather by climbing Mt Everest this season. "Tenzing will carry the USNCA flag to the top of Mt Everest," Sherpa said.
