Golf is sport of passion. But when you do it at an altitude of 5,545 meters above sea level, it's an unbelievable task. Two of the Non-Residential Nepalis (NRNs) Binod Adhikari and Kemika Bhandari went up a rigorous altitude to play Golf on Saturday. Among them is the mount Kalapathar in the Everest region. Binod and Kemika played rounds of golf matches at the base of Kalapatthar - a notable landmark located in the Everest region. The match wasn't just for fun but to set the Guinness World Record for playing golf at the highest altitude. 'We also played golf at that height in a bid to promote Nepal," the duo said. Earlier, the record was held by an Indian team which had played the sport at a height of 3,970 meters as per the GWR. It has been learnt that recently, a golf match had been played at the height of 4,250 meters on Kongde Ri but they had not approached the GWR to set a record.
