KATHMANDU: Dikshya Tamang of AVM and Upen Parajuli of Galaxy won the gold medals at the 10th Hareram Joshi Memorial Open Table Tennis Tournament here on Friday. Tamang defeated Sonu Thapa Magar of CCRC 11-6, 11-5, 11-9 in the U-16 girls’ singles final, while Lasata Maharjan of AVM and Anuska Prasai of Gyan Mandir were the joint bronze medals winners. Syantu Shrestha of Prime and Ritij Joshi of AVM have made it to the boys’ final. Prajuli defeated AVM’s Samyog Kapali 11-4, 11-8. 11-9 in the U-12 boys’ final, while Madan Tamang of Prisma and Bishwakap Madhukarmi of Everest finished joint third. Anju Suwal of Prabhat and Durga Rajbhandari of Bijeshwori entered the girls’ final. Aroud 300 players are taking part in the two-day event.
