Party meter: High in monsoon spirits The fashion madness hit a fever pitch this weekend as fashion fanatics paraded around the most happening joints around town. And the one that needs special mention is ‘Monsoon Madness-2’ at the Poolside, Hotel Everest on August 10. The venue was thronging with the hippest crowd in Kathmandu for the fun and fashion event that featured popular Nepali artistes like Nirnaya da NSK, Preety Kaur, DA 69 and a rocking session with DJ B Man. Though the party began a bit late, the crowd was soaked in the Monsoon Spirit, what with the performing celebrities. Nirnaya and Kaur, who hit the perfect notes with numbers like Din pani bityo and Dherai palta enthralled the crowd. However, the major attraction was the ramp show that won raves as vivacious models sashayed under the theme ‘Umbrella’. She’s the bomb by DA 69 provoked the crowd to shimmy and shake, while the crowd truly enjoyed the remix Chia Bari by the Dream girls.
