At a recent event, PM Oli presented Omnika with a token of appreciation and a signed Nepali flag, which she will carry to the remaining peaks in her mission: Mount Denali (North America), Mount Aconcagua (South America), and Mount Vinson Massif (Antarctica).
Omnika began her mountaineering journey in April 2021 with a trek to Everest Base Camp. In a remarkable demonstration of endurance and determination, she climbed Mera Peak, Lobuche Peak, and Island Peak within just nine days in November 2021. On May 16, 2022, she successfully summited Mt Everest, becoming the first flight attendant in the world to achieve the feat.
Since then, Omnika has summited three additional peaks: Mount Elbrus (August 2023), Mount Kilimanjaro (August 2024), and Carstensz Pyramid (February 2025), bringing her total to four of the seven continental summits.
Beyond her mountaineering success, Omnika has dedicated her journey to advocating for elderly care in Nepal. Her Seven Summits Project serves as both a personal challenge and a campaign to raise awareness and support for senior citizens.
