Prime Minister releases book ‘Nepal, Peace is at Hand’ HANOI:Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli released a book amid a programme organised in Hanoi, Vietnam on Friday evening. According to a press statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the book titled 'Nepal: Peace is at Hand' is the Vietnamese version of an English book written by Ven Thay Huyen Dieu. As the book is about Nepal, it is expected to further publicise Nepal in Vietnam and thus contribute to promoting bilateral understanding and Nepal’s tourism. The book reflects upon the conflict and peace process analysed from Buddhist philosophical perspectives. It is divided into two parts -- the first part is in Vietnamese language while the latter is in English. The author of the book had stayed for long in Nepal, mostly in Lumbini, the birth-place of Lord Buddha. While launching the book, PM Oli said that it might be an effective means to inform foreign nationals, especially followers of Buddhism, about Lumbini and Mt Everest, the highest peak in the world. The Prime Minister, during the programme, stressed that Nepal is also the foundation of Buddhism.
