Alex, a brain tumor survivor, climbed Mt Everest on May 23 in 2019, dedicating his climb of Everest to Serena Lewis, a teenager who shares a special bond, according to reports. The US Embassy in Kathmandu and his family have been informed about the incident, Paudel said, adding that efforts were underway to airlift his body from the high camp.
