Batting first, the Warriors posted 172-5 in their allotted 20 overs before the Rhinos raced to 173-3 with 14 balls to spare. The Rhinos moved to second position on five points from four matches, one behind leaders Chitwan Tigers, who have maintained their winning run in three matches so far.
Chasing a modest target, the Rhinos lost opener Rit Gautam (five) with just six runs on the board before Richard Levi and Sahan Arachinge added 76 runs for the second wicket. Levi scored a quick fire 47 off 26 balls hitting four boundaries and three sixes, while Arachinge struck four fours and a six in his 36-ball 43.
Skipper Binod Bhandari and Asela Gunaratne shared a 62-run partnership for the unbroken fourth wicket to take the team home and hand Warriors their fourth consecutive loss. Gunaratne clobbered four boundaries and three sixes in his fiery 50 off just 24 balls, while Bhandari remained unbeaten on 15 off 16 balls. Pratis GC, Sikandar Raza and Hari Chauhan took one wicket each for the Warriors.
Earlier, the Warriors posted a fighting total. Aasif Sheikh top scored with 44 off just 33 balls, while Sikandar Raza struck a four and three sixes in his 20-ball 29.
Another match between Bhairahawa Gladiators and Kathmandu Kings XI was abandoned with a ball bowled due to wet outfield.
