Rokaya gets help

BHAKTAPUR:National Sports Council on Friday provided the world record holder former long-distance runner Hari Bahadur Rokaya with financial support for his treatment. NSC Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista handed over the cheque of Rs 100,000 to Rokaya from the Players Welfare Fund. The three-time Everest Marathon winner Rokaya — the fastest high-altitude record holder in the Guinness World Records — was discharged from Neuro Hospital four days ago and is currently taking rest. He has represented the country in four South Asian Federation Games and two each Asian Games and Olympic Games.
