DHUNCHE:As many as six human remains have been found in Langtang area of Rasuwa district, supposedly the remaining of those buried in the avalanche following the April 25 devastating earthquake.
The newly found skeletons were sent to the Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital in the Capital on a Nepal Army helicopter this morning for DNA tests, according to Shivaram Gelal, Chief District Officer of Rasuwa.
Earlier on October 12, a search team had spotted 21 skeletons in the same area.
Hundreds of tourists, including 175 locals, were believed to be buried in the avalanche that swept an entire village when the Langtang Lirung (6,500 m) snow mass burst.
Of the total buried in the avalanche, the whereabouts of 83 is still unknown.
Search for them is still on, shared CDO Gelal.
