KATHMANDU:Surya Nepal Pvt Ltd (SNPL), one of the leading FMCG companies in Nepal, as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), is contributing Rs 11 million towards the Mountain Cleanup Campaign 2023, which will be coordinated by the Nepali Army. The Centre for Research and Sustainable Development (CRSSD), a Nepal-based NGO will also be one of the partners in the campaign, as per a press statement.
The campaign which is being launched with an objective of preserving the nature, biodiversity and mountains, aims to collect 35 tonnes of trash from three mountain peaks including the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest. Other peaks that will be covered in the campaign are Mount Lhotse and Mount Annapurna.

In a programme organised on Tuesday, a tripartite agreement was signed between Nepali Army, SNPL, and CRSSD, Nepal.
