High winds have destroyed Camp II along with most of the tents on Mt Everest, eyewitnesses have said. Most tents have blown away with wind gusting at 70-90 kph since last evening while a few were being covered with rocks, Sherpa said, adding that the expedition members now need to go back up and rebuild camp. "The winds at C2 and above have been very strong. They were battering the tents," base camp officials confirmed. Weather reports show that the winds are expected to recede from this evening.
