KATHMANDU: abib American Bank (HAB) and Everest Bank Ltd (EBL) have agreed to launch remittance facilities for Nepalis in the US without any commission. EBL has entered into an agreement with HAB, New York, under which Nepalis working in the US can send inward remittance for the credit of beneficiary accounts in EBL up to $2000 free of cost. EBL chief executive office R K Ummat and HAB senior executive vice-president Mirza Ejaz Hussain signed the MOU in this regard. Now, Nepalis in the US can directly remit their earnings through proper banking channel to Nepal at any of EBL’s 35 branches.
